LISTED HOUSES, CONSERVATION OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS

A grade II-listed stone lodge, built in the late nineteenth century. Thorpe Hall was built in the 1650s by Peter Mills for the Lord Chief Justice. Today, the Hall is used as a hospice and is listed at grade I.

The lodge had fallen into significant disrepair. We repaired the stonework and Collyweston stone roof, installed new cast iron rainwater goods, refurbished the existing windows, formed a new window, renewed building services, replastered and redecorated, installed a new kitchen and bathroom and improved the landscaping.

I worked on this project while at Caroe Architecture.
